Hi there, well I didn't used the Pizarro as a model but a similar italian sword. In that period it was quite a common design and there're several swords like this. If you're interested I can look and write you the info of the original I used as ispiration.
In general this is not a difficoult guard to make, it takes some time but it's not a challenge.
I really like the crooked band. Very classy. Was that particularly hard to make?
